Dear Ed,
Thank you for adding your "restorative" piece to the traditional schooling of our children via the "three Rs." Not until you posed the notion that restoration within relationships is a key tool for lifelong development and learning did I begin to analyze the concept as it applies to my own relationships with family, friends, associates and even strangers and start to implement it on a more conscious level with intention and attention. With this now in mind I will be more observant of the effects of the associated dynamics and, hopefully, foster the spirit-lifting power of restoration.
I'd figured that one day I'd take the time to reflect on this and say, "Thanks" in person, but now I'm not sure there's a more appropriate way. I trust that you will see this and discover that you've made a lasting difference to us.
