Dear Paula,
It's been many years. I'll always remember you as the sweet, energetic and kind kid you were back then. In talking with you more recently I realized you hadn't changed a bit--at 40-something you still had that same positive energy, contagious optimism and kind spirit. I so looked forward to seeing you again after all this time. That will have to wait.
Thank you for having touched my life as a friend, a friendly competitor and a model of kindness. Special people stay with us forever. A part of you will always be a part of who I am today.
