Sadly, I was not able to attend the National Day on Writing speaches, but I have a very busy school schedule. I did hear very good things about you though. My teacher has talked about you and your articles ever since you spoke to many of my classmates. In fact, she talked so highly of you that I plan on reading your column from now on. In summary, thank you for taking time out of your day to tell my school how important it is to be actively involved in writing.
