Dear Ms. Firestone,
I've been contemplating journalism as a career for a while now; it seems like a job I would enjoy given my love for writing. I had been beginning to worry about breaking into the big journalism world, though, and I have to tell you how much the conversation we had while you were at Kellam for the national day on writing helped me along. Speaking with an actual journalist who really kind of stumbled upon the job was great, and hearing your story gave me confidence in myself that I could make it someday.
